When we came up with the idea for FREEstuff we applied our “live green--save green” philosophy. To cut back on paper, FREEstuff is available to a select audience. Because we keep our production costs down, we can pass those savings to our advertisers, who can pass their savings on to customers. This is genuinely a "pay-it-forward" endeavor.
As consumers, we need to frequent local businesses to keep money flowing into our economy. Although times are tight, we must resist the urge to stay home. We must continue to spend local dollars. The number of Jersey Shore businesses closing their doors is alarming. Businesses can’t operate without our support.
So, start that home improvement project. Go ahead and schedule the tune up for your car. Treat yourself. Go out to dinner. Get your hair done. Take the kids to an amusement parks or a movie. And yes, even buy that new car you so desperately need. Consider it an investment in the future of South Jersey.
As local business owners, we need to do everything we can to help out our customers. We must keep our prices reasonable and maintain the high quality of our products and services. When possible, we need to offer special discounts and savings -- and, yes… occasionally even give away some Free Stuff. People will appreciate the gesture. With any luck- new customers will like what they see and continue to do business with you.
We are at a turning point. The government is now offering bailouts, tax incentives, and social programs to help get the country back on its collective feet.
Budgets and natural resources are spread thin. If you aren’t aggressively recycling and doing your best to conserve energy – now is the time to start. FREEstuff is full of ideas and tips on how to effectively and creatively recycle and save money.
